COVID-19 Protocols

Best Friend Veterinary Hospital will continue to provide exceptional care for our clients and patients during our normal business hours. We will make some changes in order to comply with the recommendations and guidelines to fight COVID-19.

We will continue to do the usual recommendations of sanitizing surfaces, washing our hands often, 6 feet of distance from others, staying home when sick or at risk, etc. But in addition to that, beginning Tuesday, March 24th we will implement a "Car Concierge Service." Clients will need to call us when they arrive at 770-307-0903. We will send an employee out to get a history and bring your pet inside. You are welcome to wait in the parking lot while your pet is seen or you may drop off and pick up later if you would prefer. The doctors will communicate with you over the phone. Payment can be made over the phone or we can write your card information down when we bring your pet back to your car and email you a receipt. You may also pay with cash as well.

If you are leaving your pet for drop off, the same protocol will be in place for pick up. Please give us a call when you arrive.

We can still fill medications and have dog food available for purchase. Just call and request the medications the usual way at least 24 hrs in advance. If you need food, please call before you come to make sure we have it in stock. Once you arrive, call again and we will take payment over the phone and bring it out to you.

If you have a Euthanasia appointment, please let us know when you are about to arrive so we can make arrangements for you and tell you where to go. We will have special protocols in place for special circumstances such as these.

Veterinary Care is still considered an essential business and need and we plan to stay open as long as we are allowed. By putting these protocols in place, we are trying to limit the risk of exposure to both you and to our staff. The more safety protocols we practice, the less people exposed.

Please don't hesitate to call us and leave a voice mail if we don't answer and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Email is always a great option as well. Please bear with us during this transition as getting the new protocols in place may take a day or two to get the kinks ironed out. Phone numbers and emails are below.
